JULY 2009
I don’t get to Adelaide much but as I had photographed Amy and Kris’s engagement earlier in the year at the Packing Shed Restaurant in the Perth hills they had then booked me to
photograph the wedding held in Adelaide as this was Amy’s home town. Having been greeted with rain on my arrival on the Friday night I was pleasantly surprised to awake to a beautiful sunny day on the Saturday morning.
I was to be at Amy’s parents home for a pre-ceremony shoot at 9:30AM she looked magnificent as all brides do and we soon started shooting what would turn out to be one of the most pleasurable
weddings.
After the ceremony we headed out along the road to our destination which would eventually take us to McLaren Vale, a wine region well known for its fine wine. We weaved our way through winding roads and magnificent green hills and soon stopped at a predetermined location for our first of our formal shoots. The lighting was great even though it was early in the day I used the bright sunny day to our advantage by shooting into the sun, it created a wonderful dreamy romantic look to the images. We stopped at a few more locations along the way eventually reaching our destination at the reception venue, the legendary Russell’s Pizza in the quaint little town of willunga. The light was perfect at this stage a beautiful warm reddish tone, we walked up and down the picturesque main street and I was casually shooting the bridal couple as they walked and talked.
Thank you Amy & Kris for allowing me to
Photograph your Wedding Day, I have been very pleased with the results and I appreciated your co-operation and enthusiasm on the day along with your kind comments on how pleased you are with my
photography of your wedding day.

SEPT 2009
Due to the busy schedule of Chantique & Brett prior to the wedding day I did not get a chance to meet with the bridal couple as they booked me over the phone. We had discussed a preference in style and I confirmed all the details on the day before I was due to arrive at the park ceremony in East Fremantle. The bride arrived in a Bright Cherry Red Chevrolet. Wow I thought this will make for
great photography but even more stunning was the bride that stepped out of the car dressed in white. After the ceremony we headed at my suggestion to the maritime museum in Fremantle which would prove to be a wonderful backdrop of modern architecture that complimented the contemporary style of the bridal couple. We would eventually head to the old swan brewery for the reception but on our way we decided to stop at two more locations, the first was to be Cottesloe Beach for some amazing poses by the bridal couple who at first displayed a shyness typical of many bridal couples but with a little coaching and seeing the results of how amazing they looked in the images it soon became apparent they had a new found confidence on a day that they would not easily forget. Our final destination would prove to be a challenge as the light was fast diminishing but we made good time in getting all organized to create some formal posed selections along with some casual fun shots amongst some amazing trees in Kings Park that made the total day a great
photographic success. Thanks again Chantique, Brett and all the bridal party for making it a fun day.
